JÜRG’S BACKGROUND
Jürg Furrer is Deputy CEO of Globalance Bank. He has 23 years of investment experience and a broad background in asset management, private banking and with external asset managers. He is convinced that nowadays one should not only optimise returns, but also consider climate targets, footprint and future issues when investing.
Before joining Globalance Bank, he was Head of Wholesale CH at Fidelity International and worked for many years at Pimco as Deputy Country Head. Prior to that, he was CIO and Head of Asset Management at Aquila & Co., where he was responsible for and built up the portfolio management, advisory, investment funds and investment philosophy. In his first years after graduating, he worked at UBS as investment advisor and project manager.
Jürg Furrer holds a degree in economics (lic. oec. HSG) and completed his preliminary studies at the University of Basel. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), holds a Certificate in ESG Investing (CFA ESG) and is a Private Markets Specialist (EBS).
