MARKUS’S BACKGROUND
Markus Bührer is Chief Operating Officer at Globalance Bank and responsible for Operations, IT Platform, Legal, Risk & Compliance. He works passionately on our innovative & digital customer experience as well as on our digitalization to further improve the efficiency of the bank.
Before joining Globalance Bank, Markus Bührer was Managing Director at Leonteq Securities AG, where he was responsible for setting up and managing the entire project organisation as well as leading the Data Analytics, Business Intelligence & Reporting department. On top of that he led cross-company strategic projects.
As Partner & COO, Markus Bührer also played a key role for several years in setting up a fintech start-up company that provides software and services for asset managers and private banks. He also gained experience at UBS in the e-banking project environment and in investment management.
Markus Bührer holds a Master of Science in Management, Technology & Economics from the ETH Zürich.
